Welcome Tina Legere, Parkland’s New CEO!

March 3rd, 2010

Tina LegereIn August of last year, Anne Jamieson moved on from her role as CEO of Parkland Medical Center in Derry, N.H., and crossed the street (metaphorically speaking, that is) to take the helm of fellow HCA-affiliate hospital Portsmouth Regional Hospital in Portsmouth, N.H.

In the months since then, Parkland has undertaken an extensive search for a CEO with the vision, experience and passion to continue leading the medical center and making it the provider of choice in the Derry area. The hospital found its perfect match in Tina Legere, who became CEO of PMC back in January.

Legere came to Parkland from Catholic Medical Center in nearby Manchester, where she had been serving for 20 years, most recently as the Vice President of Operations and Chief Quality Officer. A native of Worcester, Mass., she moved to the Manchester area in the mid-80s and has also worked at the town’s Elliot Hospital.

Legere recently told Derry News, the local newspaper, “I’m impressed with the medical community and overall commitment to patient care and quality that the staff has here,” and added that she will “be reaching out to community leaders that can partner with Parkland.”

Community involvement is no foreign concept to Legere. In addition to being vice chairman of the Greater Manchester Mental Health Center and a member of Leadership New Hampshire and the Manchester Sustainable Access Project, she has served on the boards of a number of organizations throughout the state, including the American Cancer Society, American Heart Association, the Farnam Center and Manchester Community Health Center.

Please join us in welcoming Tina to the Parkland team and wishing them all the best during their time together.
